Kubota Canada has stepped up once again to support the Angelstone Tournaments by presenting the Kubota Triple Crown. A cumulative series where each week riders drive out victorious, in their a brand new Kubota Product.
A difficult track set by Oscar Soberon of Mexico asked challenging questions and pressed riders to meet the time allowed. Only five of thirty-one starters advanced to the jump-off, where the very speedy lady Leslie Howard rode Donna Speciale to victory, knocking Ali Ramsay from the top position into second, after having led the entire jump-off round. Sam Walker took home third place aboard his super mount Coralissa.
This being said, it was 17 year old Sam and Coralissa who stayed most consistent throughout the three weeks of Triple Crown competition to capture the overall Kubota Triple Crown Championship. Sam took home the win in the Open Welcome of phase 1, the Open Welcome and the Grand Prix of phase two and took home third in last night’s Triple Crown Finale.
We also took the opportunity to honor our Captain Canada Ian Millar, as he has announced his retirement of international competition, but made sure to put Angelstone on his calendar for the 2019 season and took a shot at the Triple Crown!
The ‘Commitment to Educate Scholarship’ was won by Eva Vieira, who was matched with winning horse and rider combination Leslie Howard & Donna Speciale.
