CEO Statement

For those who have attended over the past seasons, we would like to thank you for your support, it has allowed the venue to grow dramatically since our inaugural year in 2010. If you are planning on attending for the first time, we would like to welcome you to the Tournament and look forward to sharing the Angelstone Experience with you, if we can be of assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to ask.

Our team has been committed to building a Tournament and venue that is considered a true jewel within the North American competition schedule. Your feedback has allowed us to introduce venue upgrades and create a show environment that is responsive to the needs of both rider and horse.

We will be offering a unique series of innovative Special Events to be held front-and-centre at the Angelstone Stadium in every year. We understand that the Amateurs of our sport are the Professionals of the future, and we are excited about showcasing these riders to larger number of spectators.

Angelstone has been selected to host the CET Regional Medal and Mini-Medal finals, The Young Horse Championships and an FEI World Cup Qualifier at the International week.

Most importantly, we will be offering over a million dollars in prize money over the multiple weeks of events Tournament season, making the venue a true destination for competitors up and down the East coast of North America.

PREMIERE EQUESTRIAN EVENT

Canada’s fastest growing Equestrian Show Jumping Tournament Venue, Angelstone hosts nearly a thousand of North America’s top horses during the Tournament’s five weeks of FEI competition. Thursday, and Saturday nights feature Special Events and Grand Prix Competitions, always free for spectators and the general public. Located less than an hour’s drive west of Toronto, Angelstone is the ideal Equestrian Experience in the rolling hills of Escarpment country.

THE VENUE

The Angelstone Tournaments venue is located in the tranquil town of Erin, Ontario, located less than a half hour’s drive northwest of Toronto’s Pearson Airport in the countryside of the Headwaters. Our visitors from the United States can reach the venue through the Buffalo, Detroit and Watertown border crossings.

Since the venue’s founding in 2011, Angelstone’s sprawling 70 acre venue has grown to become one of North America’s premier Equestrian Show Jumping Tournament sites. A total of showcase 5 competition rings that stand up to both rainstorms and drought conditions means that horses competing at the venue can be guaranteed perfect footing regardless of the seasonal weather, including the Angelstone Main Stadium, a tournament ring unrivalled in Canada and modelled after one of the world’s greatest show jumping venues in Lexington, Kentucky – host of the 2010 World Equestrian Games.

Angelstone Implementation Plan

COMPETITION RINGS

There are 5x primary competition rings at Angelstone

Main Stadium – Grand Prix, Main Jumper

All-weather ring that is the venue’s primary jumper ring, showcasing Modified Grand Prix events on Thursdays and Grand Prix events on Saturday nights. During August, the ring will be completely lit up at night by a number of lighting trucks from Dwight Crane, models used during production of Hollywood blockbusters.

The ring has undergone a complete upgrade for 2016. The footing has been refined, the center grade has been removed and the ring has been expanded in size by over 30%. We hope that you love the big changes here at Angelstone!

EEC (Emily E. Clermont Memorial)  Ring – Annex Jumper

This expansive turf ring is the most picturesque ring on the property. It is usually used as Angelstone’s annex jumper ring (jumper #2), but is also used for some special Hunter Derbies and special events.

ESI Ring – Main Hunter

This is our main hunter ring and features all-weather footing from ESI. Our resident in-gate, Mike Mordy does an incredible job moving trips through this very busy ring and is available to answer any questions you might have.

Astalos Ring – Annex Hunter

Also an all-weather ring, the Astalos ring is designated as our second hunter ring, and is located centrally next to the Running Fox Lounge closest to the show office.

Derby Field

A grass ring located at the very front of the property closest to the road, the Derby Field is designated as our third hunter ring and is designated for many introductory divisions focused on developing new riders.

+ Over 64 acres of hacking on site – When you and your horses need a little down-time.

We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you to the venue and sharing the natural beauty and attention to detail prevalent throughout the grounds.
