Mar-Co Contracting Softens the turf at Angelstone

Mar-Co Contracting has joined the Angelstone family of sponsors as the title sponsor of this weekend’s Headwaters Cup $50,000 FEI Grand Prix on Super Saturday at Angelstone Tournaments.

Angelstone’s president, Keean White, founded Angelstone Tournaments with the intention of developing a world-class show jumping venue that would bring International equestrian talent to Ontario.

Keean feels strongly that our EEC ring has benefited from the Mar-Co Contracting group’s services. “Mar-Co Contracting has enabled us to provide the highest level of grass footing to our exhibitors. Their sand injection machine ‘the sand master’ has provided our turf with both the drainage and the softness required for a world-class jumping field. I believe the proof is in the pudding, and our exhibitors are thrilled with the transformation of the field over the last year.”

Ireland’s Andrew Bourns, of Andrew Bourns Sport Horses Inc, has competed at some of the largest international shows around the world. He also emerged the winner of last night’s Open Welcome held on the newly enhanced EEC grass GP ring.

According to Bourns, the Angelstone field is competitive with international venues; “I think the footing last night was fantastic, the sand injection made a huge difference. In my opinion, Angelstone’s grass ring is easily comparable to some of the best show jumping fields in the world; including Spruce Meadows, Aachen, and Dublin. The horses absolutely loved jumping on it.”
