The 2012 Young Horse Championship Presented by Lothlorien had tour stop number 2 last week at the Pepiniere Horse Show hosted by Grand Prix veteran Angela Covert and Mike Lawrence.

This stop acted as the second of twelve qualifiers where competitors are earning valuable points towards the final which will be held at the Angelstone International September 26-30.

This qualifier was the first qualifier of the season held in Quebec. The events kicked off with the 5-year-old division where Social Network and Taylor Mulligan took the red ribbon for owner Robert Taylor.

The six-year-old division was won by Wildcat and Bianca Lafontaine for owner South Shore Farm.

Red ribbon honors in the 7 and 8-year-old division went out to Zanzibar ridden by Christine Wiggins for Horse Dreeemz Inc.

In the chase for the Dutchmaster Bonus, we now have six different horses with one victory. The first horse in 2012 to win 6 events will win a $2500 Bonus. Complete standing are posted on the Dutchmaster Leaderboard at www.angelstone.ca

Special thanks go out to Kingridge, Dominion Regalia, and Cavalor for their contributions to the 2012 series.

Horses must compete in at least two qualifiers to be eligible for the final. Horses from outside of Ontario and Quebec are eligible to compete at the final without participating in any qualifier events.

Competitors may register for the Young Horse Championship Series at any of the 7 qualifying shows or through Angelstone Tournaments by visiting their website at www.angelstone.ca.
