June 13, 2016 – ERIN, ON –Saturday night was the official opening of the new stadium at Angelstone. Over 3,000 fans filled the stadium to experience the first Super Saturday of 2016.

The first round course proved to be very difficult. Erynn Ballard and Corette, jumping third in the order, posted the first clear of the evening. However, it took quite some time to be assured of a jump off. The next 17 combinations who followed all failed to post a clear round. The last horse to enter the ring was Keean White and For Freedom Z, who had to post a clear round to force a jump off. Force a jump off is exactly what they did, setting up a showdown between teammates Keean White and Erynn Ballard, who work and train together.

Ballard led off the jump off with unlucky rail mid way through the round, opening the door for Keean and For Freedom to claim their first Grand Prix victory at Angelstone. Keean and For Freedom managed to leave all the fences in tact to claim victory!

Keean said following the event "Winning here is something very special for me. This event is something that I am very proud of, and that we have worked very hard on to make it special for the competitors and the community. For Freedom has become a very special horse, and I am very fortunate to have such a great group of horses."

Super Saturday will continue this Saturday night at 6PM as we wrap up the Spring Tour at Angelstone.
