Developing horses has always been about exposing them to new challenges, environments, jumps, and rings. When it comes to the footing, Angelstone offers the best of both worlds – with three outstanding grass rings, as well as a pair of advanced sand rings using the absolute best Euro footing currently available, riders and their horses are presented with a variety of options while on-site during the four weeks of competition.
In keeping with the venue’s philosophy of continual improvement, and responding to the feedback received by competitors, Angelstone will now be offering it’s Hunter riders the opportunity to compete on the sand footing. Show president, Keean White added, “when it comes to the feedback we have received lately from many of our hunter competitors, it became evident that there is indeed a huge demand to compete on our Travelright riding surface, which we had intended on reserving as a warm-up ring. For weeks 1, 2, and 3, we will be moving our Annex Hunter ring (previously on grass) to the Travelright sand ring. With this approach, both Jumpers and Hunters will have the same access to this footing, and we feel this will be a big plus to our Hunter riders and their horses.”
There will be no change to any of the other rings, including the Jumpers, who will be competing in the newly inaugurated Angelstone Stadium, which showcases some of the best sand footings in all of North America. |
