$50,000 Canadian Hunter Derby Championships at the Royal Winter Fair

This high-performance hunter class presents competitors an opportunity to best showcase the talents of horse and rider over a challenging course with high performance (up to 1.30m), handy, and “take your own line” options. The class combines a Hunter Classic with a Handy Hunter class in an exciting one round format.

The 17 top 3’6″ horses in the Canadian Hunter Derby Series will be competing. The selection of horses is based on points accumulated in the 24 events nationwide series. See www.hunterderby.ca for more information on the Canadian Hunter Derby Series.

The cumulative high point horse in the two classes will be awarded the Lorna Jean Guthrie Challenge Trophy as the 2014 Canadian Hunter Derby Champion.
