Lamaze Gives Back to Ontario Equestrians
AUGUST 28, 2013 โ ROCKWOOD, ON -The Eric Lamaze mini-clinic was a huge success last Friday night as Angelstone filled up with riding enthusiasts excited to get some pointers from the renowned Olympic gold medalist. Ericโs inspirational coaching gave the four clinic participants a different perspective on the sport. Ariane St. John, Liam Dumont Walker, Brooke Cudmore, and Adrien Vilcini were the lucky clinic participants who got to benefit from Ericโs expertise. Each clinic participant earned their spot by competing at Angelstoneโs Tournaments throughout the season and placing first in their respective divisions.
Liam Dumont Walker was very happy to be involved and said, “It was an amazing opportunity learning from such an accomplished and experienced rider.” He was blown away by the opportunity to learn from an Olympic Champion saying “I was speechless and in awe of learning from such an amazing equestrian.”
The riders were encouraged to adapt their own personal style to their horse and to develop a connected canter. Brooke Cudmore was honored to be included, and said, “I was surprised and excited to learn I would have the once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in the clinic.”
Eric is taking the time to give back to the sport both through his participation in the clinic and through his sponsorship of the $100,000 Champions Grand Prix.
Cudmore commented on his generous offer by saying, “Eric sponsoring the Champions Grand Prix and teaching the clinic at Angelstone was a generous gesture from an incredible rider.” Brookeโs mother Karen Cudmore went on to win the hugely competitive (presented by Eric Lamaze) Grand Prix, which took the place the following evening. |
