The Winner of The International $70,200 Grouby Grand Prix FEI – Susan Horn

Our favorite night of the week is back and we could not be more pleased with the great turnout. With a packed stadium, top class riders and horses rose to the occasion taking on the challenging track set by Manuel Esparza, making for an exciting yet intimate atmosphere under the lights. Twenty four combinations crossed the start timers in yesterday’s The International CSI2* $70,200 Grand Prix FEI class, presented by Groupby.

The first rider on course was sixteen years old Sam Walker aboard Acardi Du Houssoit Z, posting a clear round, after the time allowed was adjusted to seventy-six seconds. Only five riders were clear and advanced to the jump-off. Sam was joined by Ali Ramsay, Molly Ashe-Cawley, Susan Horn & Rachel Cornacchia. However, it was Horn riding Lillyfee who bested the field and stood on the top of the podium. By her side was Ali Ramsay in second and Rachel in third. We had an all girls podium last night and Angelstone is very excited to welcome Susan Horn to the Super Saturday winners circle! We will be seeing her poster on winners row next year!

โ€The Internationalโ€ week concludes on Sunday with the Young Horse semi-finals! Stay tuned for results!
