Thirty-two riders rode a challenging track set for the $70,200 Saturday Night Lights Grand Prix presented by Kubota. Eight riders crossed the finish line clear over the jumps and time, to advance to the jump-off. Nick Dello Joio, Ian Millar, Sharn Wordley on both Gatsby and Barnetta, Nicole Walker on both her mounts Excellent B & Deko De Landetta Z, Mac Cone & Hyde Moffatt advanced. However, the red ribbon went to New Zealand! Sharn Wordley and Gatsby took home the win, not only in the Grand Prix but also the Kubota Triple Crown, winning by a mere $8 over Susan Horn.
Kids zone has proven to be a huge success over this summer series, and last night was no different! ONequestrian joined us this year with their Rookie rider program & Tickets to Ride. Alongside ONEquestrian were face painters, Horseless horse shows, bouncy house & food trucks making kids zone a complete, fun experience for all families.
Also held yesterday was our Commitment to Educate program draw, where kids were paired with Grand Prix riders. Addison Hunter, paired with winning rider Sharn Wordley won $1,000 bursary towards university tuition.Young Horse Championship finals are to be held on Sunday! Stay tuned for results!
