2013 Lothlorien Young Horse Championship kicks off in May!!
In what is sure to be the biggest young horse series in Canada to date, Angelstone would like to welcome Lothlorien as the returning presenting sponsor of the series.
Supporting sponsors DutchMasters and King Ridge have also back the series for consecutive years.
This year proves to be exciting as only the top 20 five-year-olds and six-year-olds will qualify for the final September 25th at the Angelstone International. The final for the seven and eight-year-olds will not be restricted but will feature a year-end prize for the standings leader entering the final.
The 2013 season will kick off in Pepiniere, Quebec in two weeks, followed by two qualifiers at the two Angelstone Spring events.
Qualifiers will be run for five, six, and seven/eight-year-olds. The seven/eight-year-olds will jump different heights in 2013 but will be scored as one class.
There will be a total of 14 qualifiers and a final. The first horse to win 6 qualifiers will win the $2,500 DutchMasters bonus. This prize went unclaimed in 2012, but with two extra events in 2013, the odds of winning are greatly increased.
