$15,000 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Angelstone is pleased to announce the Tournament’s new Commitment to Educate Program for the 2012 Season. Angelstone is a big believer in the advancement of youth through education. As the cost of College and University tuition in Canada continues to increase, it is becoming more and more difficult for families to send their kids to post-secondary educational institutions.

In 2012, Commitment to Educate will donate two University Scholarships valued at $7500 to students in the community through a number of fundraising efforts.

Donations will be raised during the following Angelstone events this season:

  1. A portion of proceeds from Angelstone’s 2012 Tournament
  2. The 2012 White Party (Details to be announced soon)
  3. The 2012 Angelstone Golf Tournament (August 27th)
  4. Silent Auction (Please contact the Tournament Office to make donations)

Kids in the community will have two ways of winning these Scholarships;

  1. Angelstone Pick Three Contest $7,500On site, during the Angelstone National Phase 1, 2, and 3 competitions, students will have the opportunity to pick their three favorite riders in each of the Grand Prix events (held Saturday evenings). For each of their selections that finish in the top 5 at the Grand Prix events, they will earn one ballot for the Final. On September 29th, prior to the Angelstone International Grand Prix, we will draw ballots, and pair the qualifiers with riders in the Grand Prix. The student teamed up with the winning rider at the Angelstone International Grand Prix will be the winner of a University Scholarship valued at $7,500.

Entries are open to all Canadian students 18 years of age or younger, Pick Three qualifiers must attend one or more qualification events (August 25th, September 1st, September 8th) and be in attendance at the Angelstone International Grand Prix on September 29th, 2012.

We are hoping this program will encourage the local community to get involved in the sport and get to know the International riders. Angelstone is excited to have the opportunity to be involved with the Commitment to Educate Program, and wish all the participants the best of luck.
