The Winner of the $100,000 FEI 1.45M National Grand Prix
Nick Dello Joio and Contiki

Dello Joio does it again!

AUGUST 31, 2014 ERIN, ON – Nick Dello Joio made it two for two last night in the $100,000 National Grand Prix on his 8-year-old gelding Contiki.

Of the 27 starters, only three managed to navigate the first round without fault, with Dello Joio having two of the three clear. His challenger in the jump-off was Erynn Ballard aboard Angelstone Partners Appy Cara.

Dello Joio went first in the jump-off on Corlida and had a single error. Ballard followed and jumped a conservative clear, putting the pressure on Dello Joio to jump clear and quick for the victory. Dello Joio was up for the task, making the National double winning both the welcome and the Grand Prix.

The season at Angelstone will wrap up October 1-5 with the International featuring the $100,000 World Cup Qualifier October 4th.
