Many championship ribbons were awarded notably in the pony divisions. Here are a few of our pony winners; I Love Lucy & Maya Chahine were the winners of our first pony jumper class followed by a win by Kilby Brunner Deforest & Beaverwood’s Halo.
Our small pony hunter champion was awarded to Northwind Liam under Jorja Gorringe. Reserve was Infinity, ridden by Ava Campbell. Our Children’s pony champion was Cedar Spring Pen Pal, piloted by Jack Goldberg! Congratulations to all our pony riders on a lovely day of showing!
Our $5,000 Hunter Derby, presented by Pommies took place on our beautiful EEC Memorial ring, where Greg Kuti displayed a beautiful selection of stunning Hunter jumps, provided by Jeff Brandmaier. Fifteen horse and rider combinations were put to the test, over a beautifully designed track. Sam Walker & Miracle (own by Marion Cunningham) came out on top, accomplishing all high options with a smooth and well-executed ride. Sam Walker was also our $5,000 NationWide U25 (round 1) Jumper class winners. Muffie Guthrie aboard Damiro Van Ter Notelaere took home the blue ribbon. Sarah Duschenes riding Meant To Be took top honors in our Amateur derby. Well done to all horses and riders who competed thus far!
We are very much looking forward to yet another beautiful day, where the first leg of the Kubota Triple Crown & Family zones awaits us on Saturday afternoon!
