With fourteen competitors in Saturday&#8217;s class, five combinations made it to the jump-off. Two rides belonging to Daniel Coyle, another two belonging to Jay Hayes, and one from an eager young rider, Riley Buitenhuis. The three of them put it all to the test to see who would come out on top, and it was none other than Daniel Coyle &amp; his partner Legacy. It&#8217;s nice for us to be able to use our local shows to prepare for the season ahead with the older horses, Legacy and Gisborne VDL. With a total of twelve clear rounds, we saw some quick rounds and sharp turns. In a field of thirteen, Good finished first aboard Nitecap with a score of 103, also finishing second place on another mount, Carano, with a score of 102.5! I had only rode him a couple times before the class and considering that, he could not have been a better partner for me! The OHJA and CET medal have been a huge part of my riding career so far and I truly think they take a huge part in creating a foundation for any rider. They teach you to focus on the details of your riding and how to ride effectively over jumper courses.
