The Winner of The National $36,100 Equus Integral Open Welcome ‘Leslie Howard & Quadam’ [Photo Credit @ Ringside Media]<\/p><\/div>A busy start to the week here at Angelstone, the facility is buzzing with energy in anticipation for this weekends Kubota Triple Crown Finale, and the Ian Millar Legacy Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

This week is packed with featured events, such as the Equus Integral Open Welcome, the Equijet U25 Final, the OHJA Young Horse Development Series, the Cabana Coast Young Horse Final, Hunter Derbies, and last but not least the Ian Millar Legacy Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

To kick us off this week, the OHJA held a development series for Young Hunters aged between 3 and 5. The prospects were judged in hand, under saddle, and over fences. Judge Connie Dorsch has her work cut out for her as there was a vast selection of top young Sporthorses presented in the OHJA Young Hunter Development class. Quite Simple & Katie Uloth came out on top in all three phases, taking home the overall first-place ribbon.<\/p>\n

Also yesterday in the Main Stadium this time, the FEI 2* Open Welcome present by Equus Integral. A technical course challenged horse and rider combinations to leave all the fences up and doing this under the limited time allowed.<\/p>\n

Thirty-six combinations took a shot to beat the course set by designer Oscar Soberon from Mexico. Five horses advanced to the jump-off, where the always fast Leslie Howard was untouchable aboard Quadam. Runner-up was Canadian native Susan Horn, and to complete an all-girls podium Alexanne Thibault stood on the third step riding Sanjay to a third-place finish.<\/p>\n

Next up at Angelstone: Equijet U25 Final and the Ian Millar Legacy Grand Prix and the Cabana Coast Young Horse Final!<\/p>\n
